This week was Couture Fashion Week. Let me repeat. Couture. Fashion. Week. Put another way, it’s Dreamy-Gowns-OMG-I-Am-Dying Fashion Week. In this post, I selected for you my favorite looks of my favorite designers. For some (yep, you know it — Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad), I could have showed you the whole runway!
I’m also really excited to see who’s going to wear these beauties at the future awards shows 😉
Let’s have a look at the crème de la crème of Couture Fashion Week. All pictures are from Vogue.
So, I know that NYFW ended more than 2 weeks ago, but hey, better late than never right?
I must admit I prefer the September fashion weeks. It’s February, I see the new spring/summer collections in stores. I can’t be bothered to think of next fall/winter. I’m so done with the grey, the rain, and the cold. I want some sun in my life for crying out loud! Still, if anything can make me look forward to being cold, it’s definitely fashion 😉
In this post, you can find my report on NYFW (ergo the very original title…): who are the big names? What are the big trends? Fun anecdotes and/or noteworthy moments? And what were my favorite fashionistas up to? Let’s have a look!
Paris. Fashion week. Haute couture. Probably the equivalent to “Oh my God! This is so beautiful, get outta here!” (Or “Shut the front door” as James Corden would say). Every single time, I’m blown away by the stunning and dreamy dresses. It’s not necessarily about being wearable, it’s about designing beautiful, heavenly, out of this world looks. At least, that’s the way I see it.
For each show, I selected my favorite looks. And I must admit that for some (I’m looking at you Elie and Zuhair), it was really hard to choose… (All pictures are from Vogue).
The month of fashion weeks is in full swing, so I thought it would be a good idea to reflect on this exciting time of the year!
In September/October, brands showcase their spring and summer collections. I always found it a little weird to see those trends that we’ll only “experience” 6 months later, but hey, that’s fashion right?! ( Although things might be starting to change… see the end of this post)
The first fashion week is held in New York, followed by London, Milan, and finally Paris.
