As I explained in a previous post, I went to Morocco for a couple of days in April. I already shared with you pictures from my first day which included a visit of the Jardin Majorelle. Here, you can find the rest of the photos: the Koutoubia Mosque (I didn’t go inside the mosque — but the exterior was still impressive) and the Jemaa el-Fnaa market place. I was by myself so I chose not to visit the souks since I’m directionally challenged. However, next time I go, they will definitely be on my to-see list.
In April, I got to spend a couple of days in Marrakech, Morocco. It was a business trip, but I managed to fit in a few sightseeing sessions. I absolutely wanted to see the Majorelle Garden, so that was the first thing I did when I got some free time. I also went to the Koutoubia Mosque and the Jemaa el-Fnaa market place, but that will be for another post 😉
“Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé discovered the Jardin Majorelle in 1966, during their first stay in Marrakech. […] [They] bought [it] in 1980 and saved it from falling victim to a real estate project and becoming a hotel complex. […] Yves Saint Laurent would say he was able to find an unlimited source of inspiration in the Jardin Majorelle, and that he dreamt many times about its unique colours.” [Source: jardinmajorelle.com]
Recently, two awards ceremonies took place: the Governors Awards 2016 and the Hollywood Awards 2016. The former celebrates awards conferred by the Academy’s Board of Governors. The latter is the official launch of the award season.
With this post, we continue with the series on AW16-17 trends. Today? Animal prints! Timeless. But it can be tricky to pull it off. You need a great fabric to make your look really pretty. So be careful ladies. But the good news is: I already made you a nice selection. Let’s have a look 🙂
Sorry for the late post, but I’m currently in China and things have been pretty hectic! I hope everything is great with you…
The 73rd Venise Film Festival started on August 31st and closed a few days ago. You know how I love festivals and other (award) shows where actresses and other public figures make us swoon with the most gorgeous dresses. Well this year was no different, so now is the time to take a look back at the best looks we saw on the red carpet 🙂
I know that I’m late, but in this special post I wanted to talk about the stunning, the statuesque, the gorgeous fashionista: Serena Van der Woodsen Blake Lively.
The new mom has been promoting her new movie, “The Age of Adaline”, and she’s been killing it with her outfits. Every time, it was classy, sexy, beautiful… but also super different and original. And that’s why I wanted to dedicate this special post to her very fashionable press tour.
All right, let’s face it, there are plenty of great designers out there. And if your name is Blake Lively, I’m pretty sure that you could wear any designer’s outfit you want. So, she could have been wearing Chanel, or Gucci at every single event; but I think she wouldn’t have made quite a statement. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of Chanel, Gucci, Dior, and the like; but so is everyone. Hence, if you wear them, you kinda play it safe, don’t you think? So instead, she took major fashion risks: regarding prints, regarding colors, regarding cuts, etc. (Granted, she wore many pieces that she sells on her website Preserve, but still).
Enough talking, let’s have a look at Blake’s magnificent promotion tour looks. I love the fact that every outfit is super different from the other: she wore coats, she wore high-waisted pants, she wore purple, she wore prints, she wore skirts, she wore long dresses, she wore short dresses, … And she was stunning. Every. Single. Time.
