I hope you’re doing great! Let’s continue our SS17 series, and today we’ll turn to one of our ultimate favorite: wallflower print. The trend was seen on the Michael Kors, Balenciaga, Paul Smith, and Isabel Marant’s runway shows.

It’s a super easy trend, but oh so efficient! You can basically sport it anywhere, anytime: work, vaycay, music festival, dinner with the family, … We love it! So, where can we shop pieces to rock the trend? Let’s have a look!
So on Monday, the Met Gala happened. For A-listers, this is the place-to-be. For us, mere mortals, it is the opportunity to appreciate really extravagant fashion. This year’s theme? Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons. Rei Kawakubo is a Japanese avant-garde designer. So this promises us a bunch of interesting looks.
As you can imagine, I was really excited to discover the looks worn by the rich and famous on Tuesday morning 🙂
The second week-end of Coachella just ended. Just like last week’s post, it’s now time to check out what the festival goers rocked during these couple of days. Oh, and don’t tell anyone but I’m kind of cheating because there are also sets of pictures from the first weekend…
Here are what some of my favorite bloggers and fashionistas wore during the second weekend of the festival: Christie Ferrari, Emelie Natascha Lindmark, Jamie Chung, Claire Rogers, Lindsi Lane, Vanessa Hudgens, and Xenia Van Der Woodsen.
Did you know it was Coachella? Just kidding, that’s all I’ve been seeing on Instagram for the past 3 days. Makes me want to be there even more… Well I can’t be there to enjoy the vibe or the music, but I can definitely enjoy the fashion.
Let’s see what the celebs and my favorite bloggers rocked during the first week-end festival, and where we can buy pieces to copy their looks 🙂
I spotted some trends: denim cut-offs, bare shoulders tops, prints, and monochrome outfits. Now, let’s have a look 😉
How are you? Spring is in the air and I’m liking it!
Adore Me challenged me to a spring flat lay a couple of weeks ago. Adore Me is an American company that sells lingerie exclusively online. They have various lines, ranging from Bras & Panties to Plus Size, and including Swimwear, Sleepwear and now also an Active Wear line. To be honest, I didn’t know that brand at the time. So I went to their Pinterest account, and I was charmed! So huumm yeah, challenge accepted!
To me, spring means I (reaaallly) have to get my body ready for summer so that I can rock a cute swimsuit without feeling like a whale. It’s also a time where we – for us Belgians anyways – finally see the sun again. And whether it’s spring, summer, fall or winter it’s always book (and feminist) season for me. You might think that my flat lay lacks some color. I guess it’s true. But as Miranda Priestly would say: “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.”
So, I know that NYFW ended more than 2 weeks ago, but hey, better late than never right?
I must admit I prefer the September fashion weeks. It’s February, I see the new spring/summer collections in stores. I can’t be bothered to think of next fall/winter. I’m so done with the grey, the rain, and the cold. I want some sun in my life for crying out loud! Still, if anything can make me look forward to being cold, it’s definitely fashion 😉
In this post, you can find my report on NYFW (ergo the very original title…): who are the big names? What are the big trends? Fun anecdotes and/or noteworthy moments? And what were my favorite fashionistas up to? Let’s have a look!
Yesterday, the Grammys took place in Los Angeles. As you know, I’m a huge fan of awards show. I love watching the red carpet arrivals and gushing over the beautiful artists in gorgeous outfits. And I always find that the Grammys are a bit more extravagant than the other ones (Golden Globes, SAG, BAFTA, and the Oscars). So it’s always interesting to see what the musical scene is coming up with… fashion-wise 🙂
If you live in Belgium (and I think it’s the same in Europe), you know that lately it’s been freezing!!! You’ve experienced temperatures that make you want to stay in bed (granted, I personally don’t need low temperatures for that. But I’m sure there are some reasonable people out there – you know like adults – who feel that way). It is so cold that you’re even afraid to step foot outside. You’d rather stay at home, wrap yourself in warm blankets, and drink hot chocolate in front of a Gossip Girl or Pretty Little Liars marathon. And that, all day long… Isn’t it how you feel? Because it is how I feel (probably too often). And I can’t believe it’s just me. It cannot be just me, right?
Anyway, even if we wish we could stay home, well it’s not really within the realm of possibility! We have to be a grown-up and take our responsibility (yuck!). We have to get out of bed. And get dressed. And brave the cold. But do we need to be cold and look like crap? Oh hell to the no! One may think that it’s kind of hard to stay stylish with temperatures below the 0°C, but one would be wrong. When it’s crazy cold like that, I like to bundle up in huge knitted sweaters. And it’s not such a bad thing fashion-wise. Oversized sweaters (and sweater dress) are fashionable, so you can totally look super stylish when rocking one of these and still brave the cold.
How did you spend your NYE? Friends? Family? Both? Still hungover? What will happen if I tell you everything I ate in the past 2 days? Will you be sick? :p Tell me everything!!!
For 2017, I haven’t really made a list of resolutions. However, I made a wishlist for the whole year. Wanna know what it is? I’ll show you mine if you show me yours. Okay, I’ll show you mine even if you don’t show me yours. But it’d be funner if you show me yours too. I’m just sayin’.
