I don’t know if you know this (if you follow me on Instagram, you might remember), but about a month ago I went on holiday to Dinard. It is a commune on the Côte d’Émeraude of Brittany (it’s also the name of Iwan Rheon’s first album, by the way). And I totally fell in love with that place. It’s cute. It’s charming, The views are gorgeous. I’m sure that some of you might not agree with me, thinking “what’s the big deal?”; but I absolutely loved it and honestly I can’t wait to go back.
Let’s reminisce about my (too short) trip over there and let me know what you think 🙂
Yesterday, the glamorous Venice Film Festival ended. La Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica awarded the movie “The Shape of Water” the Golden Lion; and Charlotte Rampling received the Copa Volpi for Best Actress for the film “Hannah”. But what I’m particularly interested in here (I say here, because I’m a huge fan of movies, but maybe you kind of knew that… ) is who were the best dressed?
This week was Couture Fashion Week. Let me repeat. Couture. Fashion. Week. Put another way, it’s Dreamy-Gowns-OMG-I-Am-Dying Fashion Week. In this post, I selected for you my favorite looks of my favorite designers. For some (yep, you know it — Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad), I could have showed you the whole runway!
I’m also really excited to see who’s going to wear these beauties at the future awards shows 😉
Let’s have a look at the crème de la crème of Couture Fashion Week. All pictures are from Vogue.
Paris. Fashion week. Haute couture. Probably the equivalent to “Oh my God! This is so beautiful, get outta here!” (Or “Shut the front door” as James Corden would say). Every single time, I’m blown away by the stunning and dreamy dresses. It’s not necessarily about being wearable, it’s about designing beautiful, heavenly, out of this world looks. At least, that’s the way I see it.
For each show, I selected my favorite looks. And I must admit that for some (I’m looking at you Elie and Zuhair), it was really hard to choose… (All pictures are from Vogue).
Sorry for the late post, but I’m currently in China and things have been pretty hectic! I hope everything is great with you…
The 73rd Venise Film Festival started on August 31st and closed a few days ago. You know how I love festivals and other (award) shows where actresses and other public figures make us swoon with the most gorgeous dresses. Well this year was no different, so now is the time to take a look back at the best looks we saw on the red carpet 🙂
I’m so excited!!! It’s awards season in Hollywood!!!! Why do I care? Why does anyone care? Well, if you’re a nominated actress, I guess the answer is pretty obvious. But why do we, mere mortals, get excited for these shows? Because those beautiful and talented actresses step out in the most enchanting dresses that we can only dream to see from afar one day…
So here is my top 10 of the Golden Globes’ red carpet. I could have selected many more looks, they all looked gorgeous, but if I had to choose my ultimate favorites, here they are…
I know that I’m late, but in this special post I wanted to talk about the stunning, the statuesque, the gorgeous fashionista: Serena Van der Woodsen Blake Lively.
The new mom has been promoting her new movie, “The Age of Adaline”, and she’s been killing it with her outfits. Every time, it was classy, sexy, beautiful… but also super different and original. And that’s why I wanted to dedicate this special post to her very fashionable press tour.
All right, let’s face it, there are plenty of great designers out there. And if your name is Blake Lively, I’m pretty sure that you could wear any designer’s outfit you want. So, she could have been wearing Chanel, or Gucci at every single event; but I think she wouldn’t have made quite a statement. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of Chanel, Gucci, Dior, and the like; but so is everyone. Hence, if you wear them, you kinda play it safe, don’t you think? So instead, she took major fashion risks: regarding prints, regarding colors, regarding cuts, etc. (Granted, she wore many pieces that she sells on her website Preserve, but still).
Enough talking, let’s have a look at Blake’s magnificent promotion tour looks. I love the fact that every outfit is super different from the other: she wore coats, she wore high-waisted pants, she wore purple, she wore prints, she wore skirts, she wore long dresses, she wore short dresses, … And she was stunning. Every. Single. Time.
This week, several looks from our favorite fashionistas caught my attention. And all of them are quite easy to copy, so thank you Gwen Stefani, Jessica Alba, and Sarah Hyland to give us actual, reachable inspiration!
The first outfit is from Emma Roberts, who mastered the airport look like a pro. She rocked an all black look, a black and white striped scarf and added a touch of color with a beautiful red Longchamp bag. Check out also the Balenciaga shoes!!!! Love it!
