30 Inspiring Outfit Ideas To Try This April

Hello girls,

In French, we say “En avril, ne te découvre pas d’un fil”.  Basically, it means that we shouldn’t expect some summer weather in April just yet.  However, I’m feeling quite optimistic, I decided to pick some very sunny-weather appropriate fashion inspiration.  I’m sure you won’t hold it against me.  Besides, I put together outfits from – among others – some of my (our?) favourite fashionistas: Alexandra Pereira (Lovely Pepa), Julie  Sariñana (Sincerely Jules) and Miranda Kerr.  Honestly, how can we resist?

Week 1: April 1-8

10 Things You Didn’t Know About… Oscar de la Renta

Hey there,

Oscar de la Renta makes the news today.  Three days ago, he would have turned 84 years old.  Five days ago, Peter Copping announced that he would leave the brand immediately.  So I thought it would be nice to get to know the late designer a little better!

  1.  Oscar de la Renta was born July 22, 1932 in the Dominican Republic and died in Connecticut at the age of 82, after a long battle with cancer.  When he was 18, he travelled to Madrid to study painting at the Academy of San Fernando.  How did he get into fashion?  When he was in Madrid, he was enlisted by Cristobal Balenciaga to sketch for him.  Afterwards, he went to Paris and worked at Lanvin; and then he moved to New York in the early 60’s and set up his own label [1,2].

Celebrity Style: Favorite Looks of the Week

Hello there,

This week, several looks from our favorite fashionistas caught my attention.  And all of them are quite easy to copy, so thank you Gwen Stefani, Jessica Alba, and Sarah Hyland to give us actual, reachable inspiration!

The first outfit is from Emma Roberts, who mastered the airport look like a pro.  She rocked an all black look, a black and white striped scarf and added a touch of color with a beautiful red Longchamp bag.  Check out also the Balenciaga shoes!!!!  Love it!

How To Wear The Oversized Sweater?

Bonjour les ami(e)s,

Today, I’ll write about an easy but stylish look.  Oversized sweater + skinny jeans + boots = a winner.

If you lack inspiration (it happens to everyone), or if you feel lazy (it happens to everyone), just throw an oversized sweater over a pair of skinny jeans, and you’re good to go.

A/W Sales – Part 4 (and Last Part, I Promise)

Hello there fashionistas of the world,

I hope you are all having a great day 🙂  This post will be about a piece I bought on sales in January (yet another).  I promise, this will be the last post about my purchases of last month!

Today’s post is dedicated to an accessory.  I don’t think I ever wrote exclusively about an accessory, so this is a first.  Accessories are über important.  They can really finish off a look.  I know it’s a cliché thing to say, but I really think they have that power.

You’re probably asking yourself: “What kind of magical accessory is she talking about?”  Well, wait no more my friends, and just look:
