Recently, two awards ceremonies took place: the Governors Awards 2016 and the Hollywood Awards 2016. The former celebrates awards conferred by the Academy’s Board of Governors. The latter is the official launch of the award season.
Last week, the 70th Tony Awards (or Antoinette Perry Award for Excellence in Theatre, if you feel fancy) were held at the Beacon Theatre in NYC. The Tony Awards recognize achievement in live Broadway theatre.

If you know a bit about this mythic tennis tournament, you probably know that it has a very specific dress code. In London, players have to wear an all white ensemble. The organization is pretty strict about it. A couple of years ago, some female players had to change bras because they were not all white. Too much? Maybe, but this dress code is also what makes Wimbledon so epic. And just for the anecdote, this year had also its lot of controversy with the Nike “nightie” dress.
