30 Inspiring Outfit Ideas To Try This April

Hello girls,

In French, we say “En avril, ne te découvre pas d’un fil”.  Basically, it means that we shouldn’t expect some summer weather in April just yet.  However, I’m feeling quite optimistic, I decided to pick some very sunny-weather appropriate fashion inspiration.  I’m sure you won’t hold it against me.  Besides, I put together outfits from – among others – some of my (our?) favourite fashionistas: Alexandra Pereira (Lovely Pepa), Julie  Sariñana (Sincerely Jules) and Miranda Kerr.  Honestly, how can we resist?

Week 1: April 1-8

30 Inspiring Outfit Ideas To Try This November

Hello there,

Getting dressed in November.  The key here is: layers.  And oversized sweaters :). That’s what I love about fall.  You can walk outside with just a sweater, or with a cute shirt and a long coat.  In winter, it’s more complicated to get out without a full on onion look.  So, let’s enjoy it while we can 😉

Week 1: November 1-12

31 Inspiring Outfit Ideas To Try This October

Hello there,

How are you adjusting to fall? 🙂 Are you excited?  I know I am.  At least I am now, I’ll probably be less excited when it’s all grey and rainy and dull.  But right now, I’m over the moon.  I can’t stop thinking about hot chocolate (don’t let me fool you, I never stop thinking and never stop getting excited about hot chocolate), pecan pie, and warm sweaters…. I’m sure I’m not the only one – yeah, you know who you are 😀

Anyway, here you’ll find 31 looks you can try out this October and these looks are featured by some of my favorite fashionistas and favourite fashion bloggers: Olivia Palermo, Rachel Bilson, Paola Alberdi, Alexandra Pereira, Michelle Madsen and Xenia Van Der Woodsen.

One word for October: layers.  In Belgium, you can have absolutely any weather imaginable: warm and cold; dry and wet; summery and wintery.  Hence, you gotta leave your house *prepared*.  The best solution, as far as I’m concerned, is thus layering my dears!

Week 1: October 1 – 8

10 Things You Didn’t Know About… Oscar de la Renta

Hey there,

Oscar de la Renta makes the news today.  Three days ago, he would have turned 84 years old.  Five days ago, Peter Copping announced that he would leave the brand immediately.  So I thought it would be nice to get to know the late designer a little better!

  1.  Oscar de la Renta was born July 22, 1932 in the Dominican Republic and died in Connecticut at the age of 82, after a long battle with cancer.  When he was 18, he travelled to Madrid to study painting at the Academy of San Fernando.  How did he get into fashion?  When he was in Madrid, he was enlisted by Cristobal Balenciaga to sketch for him.  Afterwards, he went to Paris and worked at Lanvin; and then he moved to New York in the early 60’s and set up his own label [1,2].
