We continue our series about the SS17 trend. Today, we’ll talk about the deconstructed shirt trend. That’s a very interesting one, because that’s totally work-appropriate, and yet you put a trendy twist to the classic white button-down shirt. Love it!
The trend was seen on several runway shows, ranging from Alexander Wang to Mulberry.

Now, let’s see where we can shop pieces to rock the trend 🙂
How was your week? Mine was busy busy, and I don’t think it’s going to calm down anytime soon. I really need to put my big girl boots on. For those of you with exams coming up, I guess the same can be said.
Something that can really help you when you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed with work, and when you want to channel your inner Olivia Pope, is to dress the part. Seriously, if you want to feel like a woman on top, dress like a woman on top. Funny coincidence, that’s exactly the topic of this post. The last SS16 trend by InStyle is: Woman on Top.
As you can see, this week is gonna be “Cyber Punk”. I think it’s appropriate. I’m super busy right at the moment. I need to put my Robot modeON. Same goes for students: it’s (almost) time to cram for exams. Girls, we need to prepare and have the look that match the oh-so-not-enjoyable-situation.
How are you girly girls? I’ve been extremely busy these past few weeks, hence the silent treatment. I’m really sorry about that!
Anyway, back to business! Has any of you had the chance to go to Coachella last weekend? Or will you go next weekend? I only had the chance to see pictures of the epic festival. It looked pretty cool. The fashion was also on point… Bohonpoint (hahaha – Did I mention I was tired? Did I? I’m tired.)
Now, it’s time to get ready for next weekend. So, let’s go on with the InStyle SS16 trends: New Bohemian.
Spring is soooo here and I’m loving it ❤ I can feel the beach calling… I don’t think I’ll be able to answer right away, but it’s definitely calling!
But before hitting the beach and rocking our bikinis, there are a few outfits we’ll need to wear. So in this post, I’ll show you some pieces you can find that fit one of this spring summer trends: the English Rose.
I hope you’re all doing great, and that you can feel Spring coming… I personally can feel it, and I love it ❤
As you can see, I’ll address the Eternal Optimist trend in this post. According to InStyle, the Eternal Optimist is:
“You want to loathe her, but you can’t. She’s just the best, and so damn cool in her boldly colored actif-sportif outfits, ideal for dropping the kids off at school, doing yoga, and baking gluten-free cookies that happen to be delicious. Like Karlie Kloss, she’s a role model for the athleisure set, radiating positivity with a dazzling smile.”
With this post, I’ll start a new series: the SS16 trends. I already did that last year, and I thought it’d be nice to do it again for this season. I think it’s always interesting to see if we can translate what we see on the runways into “real life”.
The trends I’ll write about are the ones reported by InStyle: Urban Idealist, New Bohemian (and if you want to know more about boho chic, you can check this out), English Rose, Eternal Optimist, Cyber Punk, and Woman on Top. I’ll start with Urban Idealist, and then I’ll see 😉 If I (or you) find other noteworthy trends, I’ll put them in the series too. Continue reading “Urban Idealist: SS16 Trend”→
It’s been a long time, and I’m sorry about that. I hope that you all are great, that you are enjoying summer, and…that you are ready to take some fashion risks. Because in this post, I will write about a particular print: the checkers.
This trend could be seen on various catwalks, including Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, and Altuzarra.
More affordable, and more easily wearable are the (very Belgian) pieces I will show you here 🙂
How are you? I don’t know what the weather is like where you are, but here is purely Belgian weather. It’s rainy, grey, and then there’s a tiny ray of sunshine. Then it rains again. Which means that every morning, you have to get prepared… just as if you’re going to war 😉
In this post, I will show you pieces you can find to rock the military style, one of SS15 trends. I’ve always liked that style. I don’t know if it’s the same for you, but when I wear a military piece, a jacket for instance, I feel more powerful in a way; like I can do anything. I feel stronger strooooonger than yesterday, now is nothing but my waayyyyy. So here are pieces that can help you brave any sh*tty day!
Long dresses. Colorful pants. Fluid materials. Fun prints. We all love it. Add a touch of elegance, and you have a Spring/Summer trend: Hippie Chic. Designers such as Gucci, Etro, Pucci, Max Mara, and Dries Van Noten, were examples of actors of this seventies revival.
In this post, I will show you where you can find pieces to rock Vanessa Hudgens’ favorite style 🙂
Essentiel Antwerp has awesome maxi dresses with floral or abstract prints, that seem to be extremely nice to wear. And if you are looking for a pair of wide leg pants that do not look like pajamas, you now know where to find them!
