Venice Film Festival 2017: My Top 10

Hey there,

Yesterday, the glamorous Venice Film Festival ended. La Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica awarded the movie “The Shape of Water” the Golden Lion; and Charlotte Rampling received the Copa Volpi for Best Actress for the film “Hannah”.  But what I’m particularly interested in here (I say here, because I’m a huge fan of movies, but maybe you kind of knew that… ) is who were the best dressed?

Let’s see who rocked the most gorgeous gowns!

How To Wear the Spring-Summer 17 Trends? The Pink Parade Edition

Hello girly girls,

How are you doing today?  In this post, you’ll find a small selection of pieces if you want to rock one of the SS17 trends, namely the Pink Parade edition.  And, let’s be honest, who (like, who) wouldn’t want to wear pink all season long?  I love wearing pink (and not only on Wednesday 😉 ).  Besides, it seemed to work pretty well for Elle Woods right?

If you still have doubts about that very girly colour, you should know that it was seen on the Hermès, Michael Kors, Sacai, and Sies Marjan shows.

How To Wear the Spring-Summer 17 Trends? The Comfort Zone Edition

Hello girls,

How are you?  In this post I prepared a small selection so that you can sport the “Comfort Zone” trend.  I love some sequins, and intricate pieces.  But sometimes, I just want to wear neutral colours and sleek lines.  Something easy and practical – dirty word in fashion, but sometimes that is just what we want.

The trend was seen on several shows during the fashion month: Kenzo, Stella McCartney, Valentino, and Balenciaga.

Let’s see where we can shop some very comfortable (but still very very stylish) pieces 🙂 Continue reading “How To Wear the Spring-Summer 17 Trends? The Comfort Zone Edition”

Couture Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017

Paris. Fashion week. Haute couture. Probably the equivalent to “Oh my God! This is so beautiful, get outta here!” (Or “Shut the front door” as James Corden would say).  Every single time, I’m blown away by the stunning and dreamy dresses. It’s not necessarily about being wearable, it’s about designing beautiful, heavenly, out of this world looks.  At least, that’s the way I see it.

For each show, I selected my favorite looks. And I must admit that for some (I’m looking at you Elie and Zuhair), it was really hard to choose…  (All pictures are from Vogue).

Venise Film Festival: My Top 20

Hey there,

Sorry for the late post, but I’m currently in China and things have been pretty hectic!  I hope everything is great with you…

The 73rd Venise Film Festival started on August 31st and closed a few days ago.  You know how I love festivals and other (award) shows where actresses and other public figures make us swoon with the most gorgeous dresses.  Well this year was no different, so now is the time to take a look back at the best looks we saw on the red carpet 🙂

The Belle of the (Met) Ball

Hey there,

Hope you’re all doing fantastic!  So on Monday was the Met Gala 2016, organized for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.  I love the Met Ball, because it really is an opportunity to see dramatic dresses and fashion risks.  At least, that’s the way I see it.

There’s a new theme every year, and the guests are supposed to dress according to that theme.  This year, the theme was: “Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology“. So, how well did they do?  Here’s my top ten (+ 1) 🙂
